It’s been a full week since I’ve blogged.  The longest I think I’ve ever gone!  I know everyone is sick of me saying I’m busy…but I  have been.  And it’s only getting worse.

I do have to share these super cute Christmas Planners that I found and my girls group made on Monday.

Pictures

October 23, 2008

I was looking at some old pictures of the kids and feel like I’m going to die right now.  Can’t they please stop growing up.  Can’t time please stand still.

Tonight, at Lucy’s cheer practice, tears were streaming down my face as my little girl danced her heart out.  I was so proud of her.

Gracie continues to tell me how I’m the best mommy in the whole world.  The best mommy to the rocket ship and back.  The prettiest mommy in the world.

Vaughn cries on a regular basis when I leave the house in the morning.  “Just one more hug!”

Gavin pushes his brothers out of the way to be the first to hug me when I come home.

Lincoln sits on  my lap for hours just wanting to be held.  (Did I say hours, let’s try minutes.)

Ugh how my heart aches.  What a joy to be a mommy to the five most amazing kids ever.

Gracie’s Homework

October 21, 2008

Got a homework assignment on Monday that needed to be returned to Gracie’s school tomorrow.  Seeing as how we put it off until 9 pm tonight, I had to work with what we had in my craft closet.  The project was to trace and decorate the feet of everyone in our family.  Ok, so it’s not brilliant…but for last minute work…I was pretty proud.

Jamie’s idea was to make it in the shape of a tree – like our family tree.  Then we colored everyone’s feet different colors – Obviously Lincoln’s red, Gavin’s Green, and Vaughn’s Blue.  Then Gracie got to pick a color and she picked pink.  Lucy then picked purple.  (They usually fight over pink and have to take turns picking first.  Grace’s project = grace picks first.)  Jamie was brown because of a tree trunk.  Mine was orange but kinda wish I’d have picked yellow.  I didn’t think it’d show up well.  Then we glittered the girls feed.  Put eyes on all the kids feet except Lucy who didn’t want eyes.  Lucy picked Jewels, Gracie picked pink pom poms and a cat & mouse button.  Lincoln got red car foamies, Gavin got green airplanes and Vaughn got blue rocket ships.  So each kid got different things – and Jamie and I took one of each of their things to decorate our feet.  I thought it was clever.  Anyway – here are our family feet:

Oh yeah, and the girls did help decorate their own.  We did the rest, although it is the work of a preschooler so I’m not sure the teachers will notice.  I wish we had had more stuff to work with.  We ran out of a lot.

Nicknames on the left, real names on the right.  Jamie and I couldn’t decide between Luc (pronounced Loose) and Lu Lu or Gracie and Gra Gra (Gray Gray) so we let the girls decide.  Funny what they chose.

Weekend

October 21, 2008

Just got back from Wisconsin.  Spent 3 nights with some girlfriends doing pretty much nothing…watched a couple movies, did a little shopping, ate a lot of food, and relaxed.

Normally after these type of getaways…I am more irritable with the kids when I come home.  This time…I think I was gone too long.  I missed them so much this time and was really looking forward to being with them.

While gone Aunt Susie took the girls on Saturday and they spent the night with her.  They had a lot of fun.  Lucy got homesick and Aunt Susie called me from the mall with a crying, mommy-sick 5 year old.  Ugh how I wanted to jump through the phone and hold her.

Kimmee took the girls to the corn maze on Sunday.  Another wonderful day for them.

I have no pictures from my weekend except a couple of the lake and two of Andrea’s hair.  Kimmee sent some pics of the corn maze I’ll try to post tomorrow.

McKenna’s cake – How Cute!!

The lighting effects at the bowling alley.

The boys waiting their turn.  Love the shoes.

The girls waiting for their nachos.

Gavin and Lincoln

October 15, 2008

Gavin and Lincoln were running back and forth between their bedroom and the girls this afternoon.  It was SO CUTE because they were holding hands.  They were having so much fun.  Well, until Gavin accidentally slammed Lincoln into a wall.  🙂
