Peppermint Gracie?

February 28, 2008

Hmmm…doesn’t sound as cute as Peppermint Patty, but she reminds me of Peppermint Patty the way she always says, “Yes sir.” to me.  (I also love it when she calls me “My Majesty”.)

Finding Nemo?

February 28, 2008

Ya know in the movie Finding Nemo when those birds…seagulls or pelicans maybe?…start chasing after the crab yelling “Mine, Mine, Mine”?

That’s what it’s like coming home from work these days.  I have four little children at my feet and the little boys are chirping “Hi” “Hi” “Hi” “Hi” “Hi” – all in different tones and pitches…until I bend over to hug and recognize each one.

So cute.

Red Robin

February 28, 2008

Took the kids to Red Robin Friday night.  We were celebrating getting our income tax return back.  The kids had fun and we had comments from tons of people on how well-behaved they were.  I have to admit…for five small kids…they usually do pretty well in public places.

Gracie – using the menus as a house and filling it with condiment people.

Lucy loved her hawaiian smoothie.

Gracie wanted lots of cherries and umbrellas.

They love to share food.  Lincoln and Vaughn.

What a sweet boy.  Lincoln.

Up With People

February 28, 2008

After cheerleading practice on Tuesday I took the girls to an “Up with People” concert.  Lucy and Grace liked it a lot.  They were dancing and having fun.  It was so cute to watch them.

Grace got tired about half way through.  She was begging to go home and Lucy was begging to stay.  At the point that Gracie tried to crawl on stage, I took her home.  Lucy stayed with Steve and Donna.

Wednesday I gave each of the kids a snack.  I thought it was funny that, on their own, they each went and sat in a chair.  Notice that we have three chairs, so Vaughn squeezed in between two of them and sat on the floor.

Gracie is walking her dog Tanner.

Cowgirl Gracie:  Her outfit CRACKS me up!

Earlier this week Vaughn and Lucy enjoyed a snack.

A sword fight!

It’s Decided

Lucy:  “Mommy, I know what I want to be when I grow up.”

Mommy:  “What?”

Lucy:  “A cheerleader!”

Build A Bear & Ice Skating

February 25, 2008

Went to Coralville Mall yesterday.  Jamie took the girls ice skating.  They had a blast.

Then I took them to Build A Bear.  Lucy got a pink bear and named it Gracie.  Grace got a pink leopard and named it Hi O Kittio.  Yes, she came up with that herself.  That alone shows the differences between my two beautiful angels.  Lucy’s the sweet play it by the book, break no rules girl.  Gracie is the creative, out there little girl.
We took no risks with the new animals in the car.  Everyone was buckled in safe and sound.  🙂
