Captain Vaughn

Donna took Vaughn on a cruise on the Mississippi on Sunday.  How cute is he.  He loves Donna and getting spoiled by her!

Best Friend. 40.

So while I was in Kentucky, my best friend turned 40.  And, I am such a best friend that I didn’t even call her on her birthday.  Yeah, can you believe it.  I did send a card to arrive where she works on the day.  But I forgot to call with everything else going on…and [...]

First Grade. First Day.

Thursday was Lucy’s first day of first grade.  It was weird.  On her first day of Kindergarten, I bawled like a baby.  But first grade…she was like a pro.  She did ask me to stay the whole day with her.  But when when I picked her up…it was no big deal.  Same as last year…nothing [...]

And who goes to the zoo with an almost dead camera.  yeah, me.

St Louis

On the way home from Kentucky, we stopped in St. Louis (about 1/2 way home). Mom drove down to spend a couple days with us.  Went to the zoo and hung out at the pool.  It was fun.

Cupcakes

Grammy brought supplies to decorate cupcakes.  The kids thought it was great.  These cupcakes have teddy grams, umbrellas held up by marshmellows, and blue & sand colored sprinkles.  Every single one got eaten…by the next morning. 

Kentucky

Spent the week before school started in Kentucky.  Kids got to hang with the cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents.  In this pic, we are at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement where they got to play mini golf, pet animals, chase ducks and play at the playground.

Brookhart Summer End Bash

Jamie’s folks had a super fun Summer’s End Bash.  Big Bounce House, Bonzai Waterslide, and lots of fun had by all.  It reminded me of summer days at my Grandma’s house.  Very relaxing.  Very fun.
